INDECLINABLE `ABBA’ IN CLASSICAL GREEK AND MATRILINEAL CATHEXIS IN SEMITIC CORPUS

The noun ἀββᾱ in classical Greek is derived from Aramaic. It means father. This is the sacronsanct indeclinable noun in Greek. This can be contrasted with the maternal current in Semtic languages such as in Arabic, where the indeclinable (mabani) has no such patristic bias.
